The Subaru Impreza GT Turbo actually needs no introduction. This rally cannon has essentially won everything there was to win in the (international) rally championship. The rock-solid 2-liter boxer engine with a low center of gravity, a massive turbo, and, of course, four-wheel drive made it an invincible car. It was not only a popular car in motorsport; there was also a great deal of interest in the road versions. Unfortunately, most fell victim to (often questionable) tuning upgrades that frequently took priority over proper maintenance and bodywork care. Coming to our auction this coming week is an original Dutch-delivered example, dealer and specialist maintained, with only 91,000 km (NAP!) and purchased new by the brother-in-law of the current (second) owner!
