New platform
To be ready for the future, we have invested in a new auction platform for The Collectables, which will go live on May 19, 2025. Since the look & feel of the current site was already solid, we’ve made only minimal changes in that area. The main improvements lie in stability and speed. Additionally, we’ve switched the verification process from iDIN to Stripe, which also allows international bidders to register easily. Existing users only need to reset their password, which can be done via this link https://thecollectables.com/forgot-password.
It is now also visible whether a lot is approaching the reserve price or if the reserve price has already been met. Furthermore, the bidding robot has been updated: the user with the highest bid placed through the bidding robot will always have priority over someone who manually placed the same bid at a later time.
Of course, we welcome suggestions and user feedback, which can be shared with us at [email protected].
Wheels at the Palace
Wheels at the Palace was a great success in 2023, followed by another successful edition at Landgoed Mariënwaerdt in 2024. We will be back again in 2025, together with Porsche Classic Center Gelderland, from September 12 to 15. Keep an eye on our newsletters!
Interclassics Maastricht
Just like in 2024, we participated again in January 2025 at Interclassics Maastricht. We brought along some exceptional cars, including a Renault Alpine A110 and a Ferrari 360 Challenge which, quite uniquely, had been made road legal. Both vehicles were auctioned off the following week and sold to new enthusiasts. We will also be present again in 2026, together with Porsche Classic Center Gelderland, at Interclassics, which will take place from January 15 to 18 at MECC Maastricht.
Autoblog
Autoblog has been a partner of our platform since The Collectables was founded. Articles and driving impressions of unique vehicles regularly appear on their website. For instance, there was a driving review of the Abarth 695 Bi-Posto and Hans from The Collectables shared his story from behind the wheel of his Porsche 964 RS. You can expect more new videos and articles in the coming months.
