About this Collectable
A brutal V8 with a whining supercharger in a stylish British tailor-made suit: that's the Jaguar XKR in a nutshell. A dream car, but not an unobtainable one. This car is finished in Anthracite Metallic with Cashmere interior and has 117.700 km on the odomete.
The XKR appeared in 1998 as the extra capable version of the XK8. For this, the British installed an Eaton supercharger on the new 4.0 liter V8. The result is impressive: the power increased from 294 to 375 hp, while the torque increased from 393 Nm to 525 Nm. A significant difference. The characteristic supercharger howl acts as a nice bonus.
A Jaguar should be elegant and stylish and that is definitely the case with the XKR. The fact that the design is inspired by the E-type certainly helps. The grille and hood louvres in particular are direct references to Jaguar's iconic classic. The hood also opens in the E-type way, which means forwards. In addition to the louvres and the grille, the XKR can be recognized by the subtle spoiler. Jaguar has kept everything subtle, as it should be.
The XKR comes standard with CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) for optimal handling. The interior is finished in Cashmere leather with walnut wood inlay, which gives the car an unmistakable classic Jaguar feel on the inside.
The last owner has made a number of subtle modifications to make the XKR just a little more agressive. The XKR, which rides quite high as standard, is lowered 25 mm at the rear. The stance has also been slightly improved with 15mm wheel spacers. Furthermore, the V8 growl is more noticable thanks to an Adamash over axle exhaust. Additionaly, a K&N air filter has been installed. The engine remained untouched. The power of this Jaguar is 'sufficient', after all.
The car was originally delivered in the Netherlands and has had five owners. Together they have put 117.700 km on the odometer. The last owner took care of some imperfections, such as stone chippings and the inevitable loose headliner. This makes this British beauty look beautiful once again.

About the seller
The seller has a preference for British. His previous car was a Jaguar XJ from 1997. An XKR had always been an affordable dream car for him, so it became the successor to the XJ. Yet it is not all British that matters: he also has an Escort from '83, which he took over from his great uncle. His next car will probably be British again. Because he thinks the XKR is a bit economical, he is looking for a Bentley Continental GT W12.
