Ferrari F430 F1

It all started with the Ferrari Dino 246 (2.4-litre, 6-cylinder). A handy (and now very expensive) mid-engined coupe. Although the car wasn't allowed to carry the Ferrari name in the beginning, at the time actually the basis as an "entry-level" Ferrari. Followed in the mid-70s by the 308 (later 328), known partly as a Targa from the Magnum series from the 1980s. Again, the first 2 digits represented the displacement and the last digit the number of cylinders. The Ferrari 348 was built as its successor and ran from 1989 tm 1995. The Ferrari 355 abandoned the type designation and did stand for 3.5 litres but also for 5 valves per cylinder. Partly because of this, the engine revved very easily and had a specific power output of as much as 110hp per litre. In 1999 came the 360 Modena, another improved version with a 3.6-litre V8 and with a whopping 400hp.
The 360 Modena, available with F1 transmission or 6-speed manual transmission was succeeded in 2004 by the F430 offered here. The engine, now boosted to 4.3 litres, delivered a whopping 490hp and allowed the car to fly to 100kmh in 4.0 sec. It only stopped at 315kmh. 

The F430 in our auction is a 60th anniversary edition from the 2nd owner, a collector, who bought the car in 2021 from the first owner. The car started its life on 19 September 2007 in Belgium and was always maintained there by Ferrari dealer Monza and later by Ferrari dealer Francorchamps. Supplied with basically all the sought-after options you want like the yellow tachometer top, Carbon interior and exterior package, Scuderia Shields, the Black/Black colour combo and not forgetting the Carbon Ceramic brakes. The last owner only drove it a few thousand kilometres. 

Our opinion

The F430 is now a highly regarded car. They are no longer bargains, but the quality is much better than before. Furthermore, maintenance has become considerably cheaper as the F430 engine has a chain instead of the infamous belt that had to be replaced every 3 years or 20,000km. F430s have even been known to have covered over 500,000km! Our opinion is that Ferrari made great strides with the F430 and designed a very serviceable car. The history of this car is completely clear, only 2 owners, all the right options and a (nagged!) first paint job make this surely a specimen that is high on the wish list.

This F430 is in very good condition! Apart from some normal signs of use, visible in the photos, otherwise technically in very good condition. The last service was carried out at Garage Francorchamps in 2019 at 61,433km.
