BMW M5 Competition (F10)
An 8-year-old BMW M5 with just 100,000km that looks like it has hardly been driven. You almost don't believe it when you see the mileage. Not a scratch on the door sills or door strips, hardly any stone chips, a minimal scratch on the boot lid, upholstery like new, engine compartment immaculate, truly an unimaginably well cared for car. It looks like the owner got into the car only in his socks and then put the miles on the rollers.
It once started with the fastest sedan on sale. The BMW E28 M5 started with a fat 286-hp engine from the M1, some subtle body modifications and a modified suspension. Followed by the E34 with eventually a 3.8-litre with 340 hp that was even available as a touring car.
The third generation, of course, added to that with a fat 5-litre V8 and 400bhp. Finally, there came the über M5 with 5-litre V10 and SMG transmission in the E60 series.
The F10 went down to a size less in terms of capacity and cylinders, but with much more power and torque. Partly forced by emissions requirements, the 4.4-litre V8 was fitted with 2 turbos and produced 560hp and 680NM of torque.
Finally, the 5th-generation F90 hit the scene in 2017. As it looks now, the last M5 without electric (hybrid) drive.
The M5 offered by us is the F10 built through 2017 and equipped with the Competition Package, good for 575hp. Besides more power, the package also includes a tighter tuning of the (10mm shorter) springs and shock absorbers, a thicker stabiliser bar, changes to the front axle and a modified M differential. Optically, the M5 was fitted with Dark Chrome end pipes and special 20-inch rims (styling M601).
Supplied in Individual Azuritschwarz Metallic with an elaborate black Merino leather interior a handsome version, especially when combined with the Shadow-Line package. Also a B&O High-end Sound system, Head-Up Display, 4-zone Climate Control, Alcantara headliner and soft close doors.
Bought (and delivered by BMW dealer Bilia Emond) in Luxembourg from the first owner, who has been as careful with it as the 2nd (and also last) owner. Obviously fully dealer maintained, 1st paint, full options and in like-new condition.
Our opinion
An M5 in this condition is hard to find we think and certainly not with this mileage. Never seen such a well cared for car. Not just rubbed up quickly and brought to this condition with some remedies, but simply very carefully. Perfectly maintained and ready for a new enthusiast who will hopefully treat it the same way. The car deserves it!
About the seller
The seller traded the car in on a Porsche 964 Coupé. Also a car in the same category in terms of maintenance and care. Since the seller feels this M5 really needs to go to a new enthusiast, it was decided to auction it through The Collectables platform. The last owner was super careful with it. He described the car as follows: 'It is a super car; comfortable to go on holiday with your family and very sporty when you choose to. It depends on the setting you choose.

Notes
The last owner bought the car from the first owner with 29,000 km. Apart from very light signs of use such as minimal stone chips and obviously some tyre wear, the car is as good as new, as previously stated.
