About this Collectable

BMW 125i Coupe Manual

It is considered the spiritual successor to the then wildly popular E30 325i. A beautifully lined coupe, not too big, rear-wheel drive and a fat 3-litre six-cylinder in the front. Combined with a manual gearbox, a super-fine driving machine, especially if the suspension is just a bit firmer than usual.
Unfortunately, the Coupe was only delivered for 4 years, from late 2007 to 2011. Initially with 2 diesel variants and as a super-fast 135i. In 2008, the 125i was added as the only atmospheric engine. A slightly tweaked 3-litre with great revving as we are used to from BMW 6-cylinders.
Technically, the 1-series coupe matches the Convertibles and the (somewhat less attractive) 5-door versions. The (now unaffordable) 1-M Coupe is of a completely different order.
The 125i we offer was delivered new in Germany on 11-03-2009 by the BMW factory in Dingolfling and came into the premium selection of BMW dealer Keram a year later with 16,000km. The 3 previous owners drove the car for 3 and 5 years respectively and had it neatly maintained as evidenced by the service booklet and the latest service invoice from late 2022. The car is in good condition, has a subtly lowered suspension and is mounted on 17-inch rims, leaving plenty of residual comfort.

The sports seats provide good seating on long distances and plenty of support.
The current owner has had the car since January 2023 and is moving into self-employment. To do so, he will be looking for space to transport materials and tools.

Our opinion

An atmospheric 6 in line, mated to a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, they don't make it like this anymore unfortunately. A super-fine driving machine with over 218bhp and 270NM. That may seem a bit low for a car of this calibre, but 245kmh and to 100 in just over 6sec is really smooth enough, isn't it? These engines are super strong and, if desired, easy to bring up to the level of a 130i using the right software.

Notes
