About this Collectable

When it comes to design, Aston Martin has a reputation to uphold. The 2005 V8 Vantage did not disappoint on that point. In fact, the Vantage can be counted among the most beautiful sports cars of the (almost) past two decades. This Collectable is not just any Vantage, but the superlative of the Vantage range: the V12 S. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was the sportier brother of the DB9. To drive, but also to see. The car was positioned under the DB9 and had four fewer cylinders. However, that changed in 2009, when the V12 Vantage was presented. Aston Martin had managed to stuff the 517 hp 6.0 V12 from the DBS into the Vantage.

Jeremy Clarkson described the result in three words: "Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful". In 2013, the British took it a step further with the V12 Vantage S. This sent no less than 573 hp towards the rear wheels. Aston Martin also managed to take 25 kg of the weight of the regular V12 Vantage. A 0-100 km / h acceleration in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 328 km / h are enough to make even James Bond jealous. At its introduction, this model was therefore the fastest street-legal Aston ever, if we do not include the extremely limited One-77. Speaking of the One-77: the carbon-ceramic brakes come from that car and the exhaust system of the V12 Vantage is also based on that of the One-77.

The gearbox has also been upgraded. The S has a seven-speed semi-automatic, where the regular V12 Vantage still had to do with six gears. This copy is executed in black-on-black with yellow accents, a version that fits perfectly with the brutal character of the car. The grille outline is unique to the S and is a direct reference to the brand's historic racing cars. This hat tip towards the past is so appropriate: the brand celebrated its 100th anniversary when the V12 Vantage S was presented.

For the same reason, Aston Martin also presented the CC100 in that year, where the V12 Vantage S got its grille from. The car was assembled by Aston Martin itself. This Collectable started its life as an executive car of Aston Martin Switzerland. This specific car therefore also served as an example for a 1:18 scale model. Unfortunately, the scale model is no longer available, but the 1:1 original is now available!
