About this Collectable

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante V12

Aston Martin has struggled for its existence all its life. However, the legendary brand that was and is always directly linked to English Secret Agent James Bond has always managed to keep its head above water.
In the early 1990s, there was an urgent need for a modern successor to the V8 models. In collaboration with TWR and Jaguar, the DB7 was developed. A beautifully lined coupé with powerful engine and rear-wheel drive. Luxuriously executed, fast and distinguished, all in James Bond style. The introduction of the DB7 was with the 6-in-line engine borrowed from Jaguar, fitted with a supercharger to give the car the speed befitting an Aston. In 1999, Aston Martin caused a stir by introducing a 426hp V12 in the DB7 and the car was given the illustrious addition ‘Vantage’. With the V12, both the Coupe and the Volante went to 100kmh in 5.1 seconds and a top of 265kmh.

The DB7 we offered has the fat V12 under the bonnet mated to a delicious automatic as befits a convertible. The ‘pre-delivery’ was carried out on 5 (!) December 2002 and 2 days later the first owner collected the car from Kroymans in Hilversum. The car has had only 2 previous owners and has always been serviced at Kroymans until 2017.  The last service was stamped at 86,669km at Aston Martin dealer Cito Motors in 2021 (as a 96000km service) and the car has driven a few more thousand kilometres since then.
The interior of the DB7 is, as you would expect from Aston Martin, fully leather and high-quality materials. All this in a very stylish colour combination that adds to the car's charm.

Our opinion

Surely an Aston Martin really captures the imagination. The DB7 Vantage Volante offered here is truly a picture to behold and a Dutch delivered car with the full history is a real plus. Just had a fresh MOT and is ready for spring.

About the seller

Pieter is a true car enthusiast with a strong preference for Convertibles. He instantly fell in love with this beautiful DB7, a long-held boyhood dream that he fulfilled. Given its perfect condition, he does not want to use the car as a daily driver and would like to sell it to other lover of beautiful cars due to its low usage.
