About this Collectable

Don't call an Alpina a BMW. Alpina goes much further than a few adjustments and is therefore a recognized brand. Where BMW emphatically opted for hardcore sportiness and lap times, Alpine took the path of the above-average fast and luxurious cruiser. In addition, BMW only supplied the E46 M3 as a Coupé and Cabriolet.

Alpina, or Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH & Co. added a Sedan and Touring body style based on BMW's E46 330i. The result is a sedan with comparable performance to the M3, but in a slightly more spacious and restrained guise. Where the M3 goes for performance at high revs, Alpina opts for more torque at low revs. The B3 S was a further development of the 3.3l engine from the "regular" B3 and already delivered 90% of its maximum torque at 2,500 rpm.

Only 247 sedans were made. Or limousines, to speak with the manufacturer Alpina. This is number 9. Of course with the characteristic silver colored Alpina striping on the sides. Something that we believe no other car manufacturer can pull off. But it is just part of an Alpina.
