About this Collectable

Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1973

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is an icon and loved as a family car, race car and even the Italian police drove it for high-speed chases. The story begins in the 1960s, when Alfa Romeo decided to launch a new sporty sedan. The first generation Giulia was launched as Giulia Ti in 1962 and quickly became a favourite among car enthusiasts for its performance.
Over the years, the Giulia underwent several evolutions, with improved technologies and innovations. In 1965, the Giulia Super appeared and was produced for many years with the distinctive "dent" in the boot lid and the crease in the bonnet. With its, despite its only 1300cc capacity, powerful engine, precise handling and smooth but firm suspension, the car offers enormous driving pleasure.
The classic interior was designed with attention to detail, offering four comfortable seats and, especially for its time, advanced technology. Today, it is still a car where you can smoothly keep up with traffic with its well-guided suspension and all-round disc brakes.

The "Giulia" we offer comes from sunny Italy and is in very clean condition.
The 1300cc engine has been replaced by a fresh one and a well-known Alfa specialist has brought the car back to full working order. Four new tyres have been fitted, the engine has new seals and gaskets, the support arm rubbers, battery, exhaust, petrol tank and headlights have been renewed. In addition, the car has a new driveshaft, brake pressure regulator, master cylinder and fresh brake pads have also been fitted.

This Giulia is the nicest version, with the wooden dashboard, round counters and double headlights. This is a neat example with no rust and a very clean interior. The car was repainted once in Italy and still has the original sills and spot welds. In short, a nice fresh car that is ready to drive away.

Our opinion

A Giulia was ahead of its time. Fast, good roadholding and room for 4 people. The typical Alfa-sound from the exhaust and the intake sound of the double Webers make it complete. In our opinion, until recently an underrated car, it stood in the shadow of the Bertone coupé and the Spider, both equipped with the same suspension. By now, enthusiasts do know how to find the Giulia Super the prices go in the same direction as the aforementioned coupé and spider. There are plenty for sale for less, but then you're up for grabs and it usually ends in financial drama
