The 986 and 987 Boxsters were already very well-balanced sports cars, and with the 981, Porsche improved this recipe even further. Weighing 1,325 kg, the 981 Boxster S is one of the lightest modern Porsches and therefore immediately one of the most fun, as it is a purebred sports car that truly comes into its own in the corners. On top of that, the roof opens (in just 9 seconds) for an even greater experience. And there is plenty of that, because this Boxster generation was still equipped with a genuine 6-cylinder Boxer engine without forced induction, resulting in a heavenly sound as soon as you let the engine rev up. 315 hp and 360 Nm are more than enough for this, which in turn is good for 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, and with PDK and launch control, even in 4.6 seconds!
