As the successor to the 996, the 997 generation was delivered between 2004 and 2012. The classic round and characteristic 911 headlights are back. The new 997 is the more modern and improved version of the 996. Many versions followed, with the now priceless 997 GT3 RS 4.0 and GT2 RS as top models. The 997 S is actually the best compromise between sports car and daily driver and is equipped with a powerful 3.8 liter with no less than 355 HP. Linked to an automatic transmission, the car drives wonderfully with torque. Of course, it remains a sports car, so getting the most out of it is no problem at high revs. The great thing about a 911 (997) is its practical use for every day and its very easy to drive, especially with the automatic transmission. Put it in sports mode and you have a real fast sports car that is still one of the best today. Next week we will have an original Dutch delivered 997 S Coupé in our auction that has been in the possession of the last private owner for 9 years, who still had annual maintenance carried out on the 997, despite only 1,000 km per year.

More soon.
