About this Collectable
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupé (997)
The 997 Carrera's came standard with a 3.6-litre boxer with 325hp and 370NM of torque. Enough for a seriously fast sports car of around 1400kg, but more is always more fun. In the S is a 3.8-litre boxer with 355bhp and 400NM, you really notice that and with the Tiptronic great to drive on torque. The 997 4S can do it all and safely too because all driving forces are distributed to all four wheels in combination with the wide rear end. The latter was missing from the 2S and thus gives the 4S that extra bit of appeal. The 4-wheel drive only adds to its daily and practical usability. As the successor to the 996, the 997 generation was delivered between 2004 and 2012. The classic round and distinctive 911 headlights were back, making the 997 a hit. Many consider the 997 series to be the last true 911, as the 991 and its successors, were quickly deemed too big and heavy.
This 997 was delivered to its first private German owner by the factory in Zuffenhausen on 14 November 2006 and imported to the Netherlands in 2011. The current owner bought the car exactly 10 years ago at Stern Exclusief and drove an average of about 3,000km per year with it. The car is very complete and tastefully composed in the colour Meteor Grey metallic combined with a terracotta interior. Further equipped with Sportchrono, Sport suspension and all the usual features that make life enjoyable in a 911. The car is almost entirely 1st paint. We measured the paint thickness and noted a minimally higher thickness on the right side, which could be factory original. However, the owner stated that a home-induced scratch marred the car and he commissioned one of the best painters in the Netherlands to restore it perfectly!
Our opinion
Leaving aside the GT3 and Turbo for a moment, the 997 4S is surely the version you want. Good performance and a great look (especially in this colour combination) thanks to the ‘fat’ ass. A value-packed all-rounder with the classic looks! The car looks super and has been neatly maintained by dealer and specialist.

Remarks
This 997 4S is in very clean condition. The car had a service at Porsche Gelderland 150 kilometres ago and has an MOT until 25 March 2026. The alarm has also just been inspected. The paint quality is very good and, like the interior, shows hardly any signs of use. This 997 4S has been treated with great care and that shows in everything!

About the seller
The 997 4S is being sold on behalf of the current owner. Due to new job without a lease car and still at an age where he could flexibly get in and out of the car,he was very excited to drive a Porsche 911. The 4S was just a bit wider at the back and at Stern Exclusive he went to look at the warm grey variant with full Terracotta leather. Daring at first, but when you sit in it, it soon gives a sense of enjoyment and the experience is fantastic. He also didn't come across this variant anywhere after that. When he bought it, the odometer stood at almost 100,000km and he enjoyed the Porsche for 30,000km, but in recent years he hardly gets around to driving it and feels the car deserves better.
