In 2009, Porsche introduced a facelift for the 997 series. While the exterior received only subtle updates, significant changes took place beneath the surface. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system was brought up to date with the latest standards for mapping and functionality. The most substantial improvements concerned the engine and the (automatic) transmission. The modern DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) engines resolved the issues found in the initial series, while delivering increased power and improved fuel efficiency. The 5-speed automatic transmission was replaced by a state-of-the-art dual-clutch gearbox: the lightning-fast PDK! The 4S variant is arguably the most attractive version, featuring a wider rear stance, all-wheel drive, and the chassis setup from the Turbo model. Next week, we will be auctioning a 2009 997 Carrera 4S MK2 Cabriolet in excellent condition. It is equipped with the PDK transmission and was originally delivered in the Netherlands!
