Porsche and Turbo, both inextricably linked. In 1974, Porsche launched the first street-legal turbo following many racing successes. Due to the somewhat unpredictable nature of the engine and the not yet perfect suspension, many ended up at the bottom of the exit ramp facing the wrong way. It was not without reason that it was nicknamed the “widowmaker.” After the 3-liter was replaced by the 3.3-liter and, in the final phase, even fitted with a 5-speed gearbox, the Turbo version could not be missing from the completely newly established 964 series. Thanks to a refined suspension and electronic engine management, the 964 3.3 Turbo (factory designation M30/69) was much easier to handle. Power rose to 320 hp and delivered a nice, gradual delivery. Only 3,660 examples of the 964 3.3 Turbo were manufactured. A number of examples met an unfortunate end or were used for, let's put it mildly, dubious tuning projects. Many cars were used for long journeys, for which they are perfectly suited, but consequently often have high mileage. This coming week, an accident-free and immaculately maintained example from 1991 with only 108,000 km on the odometer.
