About this Collectable
Porsche 997 Carrera 4S MK2 PDK PCG Edition 1-5
In 2009, Porsche introduced the facelift of the Porsche 997 series. The exterior received some subtle changes, under the skin much more happened. Thus, not only did the PCM get a more modern look, internally it also met the latest standards in terms of maps and capabilities. The main changes, however, were the engine and the (automatic) gearbox. The modern DFI engines did away with the ailments common to the first series, delivering more power and lower consumption. The now somewhat dated 5-speed automatic transmission was replaced by a state-of-the-art double-clutch gearbox, the PDK!
On the occasion of Porsche Centrum Gelderland's fifth anniversary, Porsche Exclusive (Porsche AG's ‘customisation department’) was commissioned to develop a special edition of the legendary 911. This model was produced in an edition of five with its own unique number on each car. This number can be found on the dashboard and sill of the car. A total of five units of the 997 MK2 were thus built, namely 2 Coupes, 2 Convertibles and 1 Targa. The cars were tastefully assembled in the ‘paint to sample’ colour Schiefer Metallic with Cocoa Leather interior.
In addition, just about every option and feature was ticked, such as a Sport exhaust, PDK, heated (and ventilated !) seats and steering wheel, Sportchrono, Bose, all parts finished in leather (right down to the air vents), 19-inch Carrera Sport rims etc. etc.
The 997 Carrera 4S PCG Edition offered by us is the number 1 (!) of the 5 cars produced and is in very clean condition and has been serviced by Porsche Specialist Snel Motorsport and Porsche Centrum Gelderland, where the first and last 2 servicing were carried out. As already mentioned, the car is equipped with almost all options and has driven over 135,000 km in the past 12 years. Naturally, everything is neatly documented in the Porsche folder and service booklet. The car is free of damage and the rims are also completely scratch-free. The Cocoa interior is fully leather and also has hardly any signs of use. The car has been very well looked after and an interior and exterior cover are also part of the delivery scope.
Our opinion
The last 911 with relatively modest dimensions and technology that you can still see as soon as you open the bonnet. The 997 MK2 has now become a sought-after Youngtimer with mature technology and classic design. For those for whom a 991 is too clinical and a 996 too old-fashioned, this is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on a beautiful, super exclusive and very complete 911. Thanks to 4-wheel drive, it can be used anywhere and, with the PDK gearbox and 385hp engine, hardly any slower than a GT3. An all-rounder, classic of the future and as an original Dutch car with almost all options nowhere to be found.

About the seller
The last owner of the 997 PCG Edition has owned several Porsches. He recently had his 944 S2 3.0 fully restored to like-new condition. Having hardly driven the 997 over the past year, he feels it would be a shame to leave it idle and therefore decided to offer the car to The Collectables.
