The final, ultimate version of the air-cooled Porsches and one of the most captivating models is undoubtedly the Carrera 4S, built from 1995 to 1998 and a cross between the Carrera and the Turbo. Apart from the large rear spoiler, however, the two models are identical in many respects. The Carrera 4S features the 6 cm wider Turbo chassis from the factory, resulting in wider rear fenders. Additionally, the Carrera 4S is equipped as standard with the Turbo's 18-inch wheels and red brake calipers, and the Carrera 4S also features side skirts. Technically, the Carrera 4S is essentially the same as the Carrera with the 286 hp naturally aspirated engine. In total, only 6,948 examples of the Carrera 4S were produced, and it was delivered exclusively with a manual gearbox.

A very fine and well-documented example will be in our auction this coming week; originally delivered in Germany and fully documented.
