Porsche 993 convertible
The last air-cooled Porsche is and always has been a thing. The die-hards swear by the indestructible Mezger engine with its raucous boxer sound. In this latest version with varioram, it's probably the best air cooler around. 286hp from 3.6 litres doesn't seem like much, but the varioram engine on less than 1400kg is a joy to drive. Good for 286hp, with the potential to tap 275kmh. Combined with the ability to fold back the roof. Mileages of 500,000km or more are no exception. In short, with the one offered here, you could still cover over 10x the distance travelled so far. The Porsche 964 was already an evolution from the G-model with power steering, ABS and independent suspension. The 993 added to that with a 5-way guided suspension at the rear and even more fine-tuning to the engine.
The one offered here was delivered new in the USA. Nothing wrong with that as long as it is not a worn-out damage vehicle. This one has a so-called ‘Clean Carfax’ on which all servicing is also neatly listed. The previous owner imported the car himself from the USA and was so careful with it that he kept it at home in the living room and hardly ever drove it... The car was delivered in Aventura green and mostly in its first paint. Even the grey Raf leather upholstery, with Porsche logo in the headrests, still looks fantastic. The 17-inch Cup rims are damage-free and the Convertible top is also in very good condition. Only 27,000 miles (less than 45,000km) are on the odometer and the car also makes a healthy and fresh impression. The Tiptronic may not be ‘everyone's thing’ but it suits the character of this convertible perfectly in combination with the powerful Varioram engine.
Our opinion
In our opinion, one of the very nicest and best driving air coolers. With this low mileage almost unique and thanks to the Tiptronic it can be driven wonderfully on torque or just super fast if you have to! A great opportunity to get your hands on a still very fresh 993 Cabrio, which will probably only get more expensive in the future.

As a market trader in the market, the current owner acquired this car from a colleague who had unfortunately passed away. The previous owner imported this car himself from the USA and was so fond of it that he even had it in the living room. The current owner has had the 993 at home for several years but drives it far too little, but has had it neatly maintained. He hopes the next owner can put more miles on it as it drives formidably.
