"Vorsprung durch Technik" (Vorsprung through Technik) was always Audi's slogan. They were early adopters with their 'quattro' all-wheel drive, powerful diesels, and fast station wagons. However, electrification took a little longer at Audi, and the Audi E-tron quattro Concept was unveiled at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2015. The concept car had three electric motors, producing a total of 500 hp, and its 95 kWh battery allowed for a range of 500 km. The prototype followed in 2018, and the production version later that year. This was a disappointment, as the three motors turned out to be just two, with less power and a shorter range. Nevertheless, the E-tron 50 and E-tron 55 are very popular in the Netherlands due to the favorable tax climate, but also because of the E-tron's solid appearance and styling. Because let's be honest, it's just a really cool car to look at and fits perfectly in line with its gasoline-powered siblings. In 2020, the promised three engines finally arrived in the S version with 503 hp and 973 Nm of torque. The car gets even bigger with wider wheel arches and larger rims. The E-tron S is the version you want, with not only a higher level of equipment but also significantly better performance. A true "S" indeed.

The version we offer here is a fully optioned model, including 23-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, heated rear seats, electrically adjustable seats, all electronic aids, and a comprehensive Bang & Olufsen infotainment system. The E-tron was registered in Germany on January 11, 2023, but it has not been driven. The car was delivered new in the Netherlands with only 14 km on the odometer to its first owner on March 30, 2023. The last owner drove it about 30,000 km per year and had it serviced at the Audi dealer. A month (and 2,000 km) ago, the Audi received a service and four new tires, costing €2,700. So, get in and drive.

Our Opinion

Although we're always a bit skeptical of fully electric vehicles, after a drive, our opinion changed. If you're going electric, this is top-notch. The finish is perfect, and the comfort is more than adequate, despite the large rims. Compared to the original purchase price of a whopping €113,000, it's a bargain!
