Porsche 718 Spyder

It's a nice nod to the past. The Spyder logo is an icon in Porsche's history. Since the 1950s, only the most striking and special Porsche family members have worn this designation. A combination of sportiness with elegance. More than half a century after the original Spyder models (including the 550 spyder), Porsche brought the theme back in the Boxster 550 Spyder (type 986) and the RS60 Spyder (type 987). Both were special in terms of equipment, but not as special as the 2010 farewell model of the 987 Spyder, which was truly special again in terms of construction and technology. In 2016, the successor came in the form of the 981 Spyder. Like the 987, this too was only available in purist form, with a tent canvas roof, bucket seats, wenig options and only a manual transmission. In terms of chassis and engine, it was a copy of the Cayman GT4 with slightly softer springs. So a fat 3.8 liter with over 380 hp.

And then the third, and perhaps last gasoline, generation Spyder. Strangely, the 718 Spyder does not bear the Boxster name. Reason being: the 718 badge was brought back into the Porsche range to associate more emotion with the new four-cylinder engines. The 718 Spyder only came with the 4.0-liter six-cylinder. In Stuttgart, they felt this was reason enough to christen their new flagship 718 Spyder.

GT Silver, the Spyder Classic interior, carbon bucket seats and not to forget: manual transmission (!).
The Spyder is powered by an updated 4.0 liter boxer six cylinder. And the performance doesn't lie; 420 hp, 420 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 301 km/h, even with the roof open.

the Spyder offered here the current owner has unfortunately enjoyed too little. Partly a reason for sale. It just doesn't happen. Just broken in and only 3000 km on the clock makes this offer almost a new car. Current owner is the first owner and he bought it in Dubay where he lived for several years. The Spyder moved with him to the Netherlands and is now looking for a new owner who will hopefully get some more mileage out of it. After all, this car is a beauty and it simply has to be seen and driven.

Our opinion

A unique low mileage, and beautiful composition, from the first owner, dealer maintained and even still warranty until 2025.
Actually we don't need to say a word extra about it....

About the seller

Kees, the current and first owner, bought the Porsche new in 2021 from Porsche Doha in Qatar, here he was living. Last year he moved back to the Netherlands and got the Spyder registered in the Netherlands.  In May 2023, he extended the Porsche Approved warranty for another two years. And, of course, this warranty will also be extended if the car is bought by a private buyer.

The next maintenance is only required 04-2025. (or 33,000km)
At the last service, the Porsche also received a rigorous 111 point check.
The 111 point check was performed to extend the Porsche Approved warranty until April 2024.
