About this Collectable

The Mercedes-Benz SL from the W107 series (officially known as R107 for the Roadster and C107 for the Coupé models) was produced from 1971 to 1989, making it, next to the G-series, the Mercedes Benz model that has been in production for the longest period.

This Collectable is equipped with a silky soft 3.8l V8 with 218 hp at 5500 rpm. And a comfortable torque of 299 Nm at 4000 rpm. This Mercedes 380 SL was born in Germany in 1982 to 2008 in sunny California and then spent a decade in the luxury enclave of Escondido in the same state. Probably from a fan of Dallas, the series that gave the SL its nickname thanks to Bobby Ewing. In 2014 the car had its last MOT in America at a mileage of 104,644 miles (167,430 km).

In June 2018, the current owner exported the car from Long Beach to the Netherlands. And then the work began... The car was fully technically and optically overhauled and restored this year and rebuilt from US spec to the European version. Stainless steel European bumpers and the original European headlights have been fitted. From a safety point of view, new seat belts have also been fitted. Of course photos and invoices of all these matters are available. Even all light bulbs, from the instrument cluster, interior and exterior, have been replaced.

This car is everything you expect from it and more. By tackling everything, it is not only a visual picture, but also a car in which you do not have to invest again every year. Usually photos are much nicer than in real life, however, this car is just like the photos.
