About this Collectable
This is a 2015 Land Rover Defender which has covered no more then 14 kilometers. An iconic car, but at the same time recent and brand new. That is something that can be said about very few cars.
And it is not just any Defender, but one of the 400 Heritage Editions. This special edition from 2015 is full of references to the past and is a fitting final edition of the Defender. When the last unit rolled off the production line in early 2016, the model had been in continuous production for 67 years.
The Heritage Edition was one of three special editions that marked the end of the first-generation Land Rover Defender. While the Autobiography and the Adventure were a luxury and an adventure edition respectively, the Heritage is the one that is closest to the original.
For example, the Heritage Edition has been given a classic grille and is finished in the nostalgic colour Grasmere Green, combined with a white roof. The car is also equipped with steel rims, finished in body colour. This is what a Defender should look like.
There is also a direct reference to the godfather of all Land Rovers. There is a sticker on the left front screen and labels in the interior with 'HUE 166' on it. This was the license plate of the very first Land Rover Series 1 from 1948, which is nowadays on display in the British Motor Museum.
The curtain has finally fallen for the first generation Defender, but with this Collectable you can still get a brand new example. By 'new' we mean literally brand new, since this example has covered only 14 kilometers. That makes this a unique opportunity.
Please note: the car is not yet registered, but is temporarily registered on a German tax letter. Additional costs must therefore still be taken into account when road registering on a vehicle registration plate.
