About this Collectable

Jaguar F-type 3.0V6 S Coupe Manual transmission

In 2012, Jaguar introduced the F-type as the spiritual successor to the legendary E-type. Again a true sports car and equipped with a heavenly-sounding V6 or roaring V8.
The E-type was followed by the XJ-S and the XK8, beautiful cars but not true sports cars. Much more focused on comfort and therefore somewhat sedate driving characteristics. In 2011, Jaguar came out with a long-awaited study model, the CX-16. A beautiful coupé entirely in line with the E-type of the time. From 2013, the barely modified study model became available as an F-type roadster, while the coupé followed a year later. There were 2 engines available in 3 different versions. The supercharged V8 good for almost 500hp in the roadster and 550hp in the coupe (V8-S) and the V6 in 2 power variants (340hp and 380hp) with the latter again being referred to as V6-S. Even all-wheel drive became possible with the V8 and V6-S versions and also both V6s became available with a manual transmission (only for the rear-wheel-drivers). Of course, the V6-S with manual gearbox and limited slip was the very best for laying down all kinds of naughty drifts on roundabouts and slip roads.
There were several more facelifts in 2017 and 2020, but the beautiful lines of the coupé in particular remained unchanged.

The F-type Coupé V6-S with manual transmission offered by us was delivered as LHD (Left-hand drive) to its 1st owner in the UK in 2015. He then took the car to his home in Portugal (hence the desire for a left-hand drive car). In 2020, the current London-based (NL) owner took over the car and, after returning to the Netherlands, had it registered in the Netherlands in 2023. The only thing the UK delivery left behind is that the analogue speedometer shows the speed in miles. What makes the car special is that it is a V6 S version, fitted with a manual gearbox. Take the thick brakes, the limited slip differential, the sports exhaust and the larger rims and you have all the ingredients together for a delightful driver's car. The F-type has been neatly dealer maintained and shows very few signs of use.

Our opinion

Hardly found on the web, a manual F-type V6-S Coupé, even though that's just the nicest version, at least that's what we think. A purebred driver's car with fantastic sound, excellent performance and great handling. Nice and analogue and decide for yourself what to do, unfortunately they don't make them like that anymore. The chance to get your hands on a bright and neatly maintained car with low mileage.

About the seller

As already mentioned, the seller lived in London for a while and managed to get his hands on this fantastic coupé. His dream was always an English sports car and with this car he made the right choice, especially because of the manual gearbox. He used the car mainly for road trips but is now looking for a convertible for the fun drives.

Notes

The car is in very good condition. To dot the "i", some minor stone chips should be touched up and the leather may need a service. The rims have slight kerb damage and the rear tyres are still worthy of MOT, but will need replacing soon. The windscreen washer reservoir sensor sometimes gives an error message, but functions as it should
