About this Collectable
The BMW Z4 E85 has all the ingredients that make a BMW attractive, but in a beautiful roadster package. This Dutch example comes from its first owner. Most of the E85 Z4's are gray, silver or black, but the owner of this Z4 has opted for something different: the stunning colour Maldivesblau II. This goes nicely with the interior, which is finished in beige.
This is also a fairly special version with the SMG gearbox, which shifts as it should in racing. That means tapping forward to downshift (because you move forward when braking), and pulling the lever to shift up.
The design of the Z4 was created under the direction of Chris Bangle. He made sure that the Z4's design was something special. In a positive sense, that is. We dare to say that this model has the potential to become a classic.
A roadster isn't necessarily a driver's car, but this Z4 definitely is. It is a true BMW in that respect. It has the right engine as well: a very nice straight-six. This example is the top version of the pre-facelift E85's: the 3.0i with 231 hp.
This Z4 is still in the hands of its first Dutch owner. He has put a total of over 161.000 kilometres on the clock. The car has always been serviced by a BMW dealer or BMW specialist. Last month, the Z4 was fitted with fresh tires and the history is fully demonstrable through almost 60 (!) Pages.
This Collectable will be auctioned without a reserve price ('No Reserve'). The highest bidder is therefore also the winner of this auction and can add this BMW Z4 to his or her fleet.

Remarks
There are a couple of cosmetic points, captured on the photos:
- Scratches on the front spoiler left and right
- Stone chip and small paint bubble on the hood
- Scratch on the tailgate
- Plastic on the steering wheel partially loose
- Wear on leather
- Light rim damage all around

Recent maintenance history
The car has been serviced by BMW specialist Automaan and BMW dealership Breeman. The most important points from the recent maintenance history are:
- March 26, 2021 - Automaan - 161.620 km: vehicle inspection (APK), oil change, new tires
- May 8, 2020 - Automaan - 161.313 km: vehicle inspection (APK), new battery, sensor SMG box, clutch, exhaust flange
- May 18, 2018 - Automaan - 160.634 km: front wishbones replaced

About the seller
After the owner had driven a Fiat Barchetta for six years, he fell for the charms of the then brand new Z4. He therefore decided to exchange the Barchetta for the Z4, which he still has in his possession to this day. It was his only car for a long time, but now that he has a BMW i3 as his daily car, he has less time to drive the Z4.
The owner wants to end the period with his Z4 with a nice photo shoot against Dutch skies, via The Collectables. He has such confidence in the platform and the car that he offers the Z4 at No Reserve. The car is therefore guaranteed to go to a new enthusiast.
