About this Collectables

BMW 320i 4-door (E36)

The third-generation BMW 3-series, commonly known by its E36 code, has long been an underdog within the BMW family. By now, most have ended up as tuning objects, are completely rusted or are tortured on a race track. What was forgotten, however, is that the E36 is one of the best handling cars in the BMW family, with a sophisticated chassis and beautiful (6-cylinder) engines that are indestructible with normal maintenance, even in extreme use. The 24-valve M50 engine was available as a 2.0-litre and as a 2.5-litre and was the successor to the M20 engine that had only 12 valves. From 1992, the vanos system was added for variable valve timing. The E36 was more than a further development of the E30, for instance, the rear suspension was very modern and aerodynamics were a lot better. 10 years ago, you could pick up a 6-cylinder BMW E36 for next to nothing. These days, that does look different. Meanwhile, you'll also get a thumbs-up if you drive up with a basic 316i, because it has simply become a rare car.

The 320i on offer here is a fine 6-cylinder in near-first paint, rust-free, a nice fresh interior (with a tight headliner!) and low mileage. Paired with an automatic gearbox, it is a delightful combination for mileage. The car was delivered new in Germany The car had only one owner in Germany, who had a penchant for luxury, considering he chose almost all available options.and equipped with air conditioning, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and heated front seats and an airbag. This 320i Sedan is completely original, which makes it extremely rare in this condition with the low mileage and the unique colour scheme Hellrot with a black leather interior. The car even still has the original new spare wheel, an original BMW spare petrol tank and all the original tools are also present.

Our opinion

This E36 is actually just the way you want it. Rust free, a lovely 6-cylinder under the hood, and equipped with lots of luxury. Now we all don't look back, but back then this was just a very complete car. Moreover, an E36 often steers (much) better than a modern car and also gives the experience that you miss so much these days!
