Audi R8 Convertible V10 Manual

Where can you find that anymore? Actually a unique combination of a sports car with a V10, manual transmission and convertible. A neat example in a chic color combination. Less than 50,000 km on the clock and damage free. The 5.2-liter V10 has a whopping 525hp that is happy to be handled by the sporty manual transmission. The V10 screams it out at 8000 rpm and, if desired, can also be safely driven on torque as that is plentiful at 530NM.

Both the engine and drive train and viscous clutch are "borrowed" from concern genius Lamborghini, sounds fantastic and is always on point. In terms of handling, the Audi is different from its Lambo sibling. Less sporty, quite luxurious and comfortable and nice materials. Still, the car gives great feedback to the driver and steers well into corners thanks to the mid-engine configuration. The previous owners took good care of it. The current owner is thinning out his collection a bit and has decided to sell the V10 to an enthusiast who can drive it more than he did himself.

The recognizable exterior of the R8, like all Audi models, has a single-frame grille which makes for an aggressive look on this one. In addition, the Audi R8 is one of the first production cars to come standard with LED headlights. In addition, the car has its low-slung streamlined shapes along with it which creates a true supercar look. If we move to the rear of the car, it is immediately noticeable that the car can handle the wide rear combined with the sporty diffuser with two wide exhaust pipes. The common white color and gloss black accents, united with the refined brown interior makes this car a chicly executed, V10 carrying race car.


Our opinion

Those looking for a convertible with lots of power and many cylinders at an acceptable price and high reliability really can't ignore the R8 Spyder. The manual transmission, hardly ever ordered in the past, gives this R8 just that little bit extra in combination with a V10 and convertible roof. A great car to take long drives and enjoy the scenery in southern Europe with the roof open.
