About this Collectable

Recently we were able to offer a beautiful black Aston Martin V12 Vantage S here at The Collectables. The winning bid went to a true enthusiast of the model, who was already the proud owner of this black V8 Vantage S. The latter looks great next to his V12, but 1 Vantage is enough.

This "black beauty" from 2011 has only 22,280 kilometers on the clock and is in top condition. So we are dealing here with the S version of the V8 Vantage. The Vantage was already sportier than the DB9, but in 2011 Aston Martin made the car even more sporty with the V8 Vantage S. The 4.7 liter V8 delivers 10 hp and 20 Nm extra. That is a fairly modest upgrade, but the aerodynamics have also been significantly adjusted. In addition, the six-speed Sportshift automatic transmission has been replaced by the seven-speed Sportshift II automatic transmission.

As a result, the V8 Vantage S really has a different (read: sportier) character than the regular V8 Vantage. All adjustments ensure that the V8 Vantage S sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds and can break the magical limit of 300 km / h. In terms of looks, the V8 Vantage S sits nicely between the brutal V12 Vantage and the stylish regular V8 Vantage. The S version received a carbon fiber splitter and diffuser, an integrated spoiler and wider side skirts from Aston Martin.

The Vantage S is also a lot rarer than the regular Vantage: there are currently only 18 copies on Dutch registration. This particular specimen was imported from Germany in 2015. The owner had always been a fan of the Vantage model and decided on his 60th birthday to make his wish come true.
