The Seat Toledo II was built between October 1998 and July 2004 and was a further development of the first Toledo, originally conceived for the Škoda Octavia I. Both VW CEO Piech and the Czech government (co-shareholder) found it too Italian. However, because the body was already in production, the design, with a modified front end, became the first Toledo! The second generation arrived in late 1998, but unlike its predecessor, it simply had a small trunk lid. The Leon hatchback version didn't arrive until later in 1999 and, like the sedan, was technically identical to the VW Bora/Golf IV, the Audi A3, and the Škoda Octavia. The Toledo (II) shown here, which will soon be offered for auction, is from 1999, is brand new, has only 27 km on the clock, and is right-hand drive.
