About this Collectable

The 997 Carrera and Carrera S models were launched in the summer of 2004. The 911 Carrera S had a 3.8-liter engine, and therefore also higher power output than the base model. The 997 was available with the modified Tiptronic-S automatic transmission. The latter offers the driver a manual mode in which gears can be shifted via the steering wheel. Combined with the generous torque of 400 Nm, the automatic is an excellent choice for the character of the convertible.

Now in our auction is a (matching numbers) example in a timeless color combination that exudes sportiness and elegance. A documented mileage of only 84,000 km and a beautiful interior with hardly any (to virtually no) signs of wear. The 997 was delivered new in California in 2007 and was in the possession of the last owner for almost 9 years. The 997 had its own spot here in the indoor garage, equipped with a trickle charger and heating for the cold months. The car was serviced annually at Porsche Centre Leusden and Porsche Centre Eindhoven. Naturally, this 997 comes with a folder containing the service booklets and maintenance invoices. According to Carfax, the 997 sustained damage in the past ranging from €10,000 to €20,000. You easily reach that amount these days, and with expensive Porsche parts, the costs quickly add up. The car has been repaired in accordance with Porsche specifications, and an appraisal report from a certified appraiser is available in which the car's condition in 2017 is rated as ‘very good’. The 997 has virtually new brakes all around, and everything looks very well cared for. In short, a very fine 997 that is completely ready for spring.

A neat 997 Cabriolet that looks truly impeccable. In terms of dimensions and looks, the 997 is, in our opinion, the nicest 911 on the market.

About the seller

The current owner initially purchased the 997 from a regular customer to drive himself, but due to new construction and expansion plans for his company, he is now offering the car to a new enthusiast.
