About this Collectable

Not all convertibles are an improvement in terms of design, but the 991 Targa is a different story. This is the version you want because of the unique roof construction. It is finished in the stunning colour Night Blue Metallic with RS Spyder Design rims and comes directly from the first owner, who has driven it 13.200 km over the last 6 years.

The classic 911 Targa is an icon with its typical roll bar. Especially in the Netherlands, thanks to their role as official police cars. Unfortunately, the roll bar disappeared in 1993, but with the 991 generation, Porsche finally brought back the classic Targa look.

This was not only immediately the prettiest girl in the classroom, the roof construction was also unique. No fiddling, but a roof that folds away elegantly. Just open the top (from a distance) in front of a full terrace, admiring glances assured.

Interesting to know: 'targa' is a registered trademark of Porsche and may therefore not be used by other brands. The term was actually introduced by Porsche in 1965 and is derived from the Targa Florio race. The 911 Targa is therefore the only real targa.

This particular car is a Targa 4 from after the facelift. This means that you have 20 bhp and 60 Nm additional compared to the Mk1. This brings you up to 370 bhp and 450 Nm. Thanks to PDK and four-wheel drive, it will enable you to reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The 991 Targa is always four-wheel drive, which also means that you get the handsome wide hips.

In combination with the unique Targa roof, this is one of the most striking variants of the 991. Certainly in this configuration. This particular 991 Targa is executed in Night Blue Metallic. A particularly attractive colour, especially when the sun is reflecting on it. The 20 RS Spyder wheels complete the picture.

Our opinion

The beauty of this car is that it is an excellent all-rounder. With PDK, four-wheel drive and practical features like cruise control, reversing camera, BOSE Surround Sound System and 14-way adjustable sports seats, it is a true daily driver with nothing to worry about. But it is also equipped with the Porsche sports exhaust and the RS Spyder rims, which give this classy model that slightly sporty edge.

And what about 'Dutch delivered, complete history available, first owner' and an optional Porsche Approved warranty?

The seller is a Porsche enthusiast and, more specifically, a 911 Targa enthusiast. Besides this 991 Targa he also owns a classic 1974 911 Targa , which he is currently restoring. The reason he is selling this 991 now is not because he has grown tired of the 911 Targa. On the contrary, he is getting another one, a brand new 992 Targa.
