Thanks to the Shah of Iran, Mercedes began building a functional off-road vehicle, the G-Class, in 1979. The 461 succeeded the original G-Class (460) as a functional and practical off-roader. In addition, the W463 was introduced as a luxury off-road vehicle and a competitor for the Range Rover. In collaboration with AMG, the Mercedes 500 GE was introduced, and in 2003, the G55 AMG was released, as Mercedes discovered that expensive cars sell well. In 2004, the 5.4-liter V8 was fitted with a "Kompressor," increasing power from 354 hp to 476 hp and 700 Nm of torque. After that, it only got better and better, and the farewell version, now called the G63 AMG, boasted an impressive 571 hp and 760 Nm of torque. The example offered here is one of the very last G63 AMGs with the 5.5-liter V8 which was screwed together by Tobias Römer. Bought by a well-known German doctor and in excellent condition.
