A Rosso Corsa Ferrari Spider with a manual gearbox. So with the famous "click-clack" sound from the metal gear shift pattern that made Maranello cars unique for decades. Not the fastest way to change gears, but definitely the most memorable.
This Collectable is, as the photos show, also in a beautiful condition. The car was delivered in Germany in April 1996 by Ferrari Gohm in Böblingen and was one of the sought after first model year. Why wanted? This one has the Motronic 2.7 ECU (OBDI) had a more spontaneous and aggressive throttle response compared to the (5.2 off) later build years.
In June 2002 it was sold to its second owner, a Dutchman, through Ferrari Gohm. At that time, the Spider had driven 14,000 miles in the first 6 years of its life. The second owner has lovingly pampered it for 18 years and kept it in a heated garage. And that shows in the car. The car is technically and optically in excellent condition, the engine and aggregates run beautifully and the driving behavior is flawless. The car features a Fuchs assembled sports exhaust system with an incredible F1 sound. As befits a Ferrari, but unfortunately you can no longer buy them nowadays because of the use of turbos and particle filters.
Since the car arrived in the Netherlands (June 2002), all maintenance has been carried out at Forza Service in Oss. These recoards are all available. Most recently, in May 2020, a major overhaul was carried out on behalf of the current owner, the neighbor of the previous owner, and the timing belt roller and engine oil, transmission oil and brake fluid were replaced.
At the time, the car had a base price in the Netherlands of EUR 160,000, at a time when Ferrari's now-infamous options list did not even exist.
