About this Collectable
Audi RS4 Avant V6 Biturbo (B5)
In 1999, a worthy successor to the Audi 80 RS2 arrived on the market, and it did so in the form of the Audi A4 Avant with a fat 2.7-litre V6 fitted with 2 turbos that pushed power to over 380 hp. Whereas in the RS2 the engine was tackled by Porsche, the RS4 engine was taken in hand by Cosworth. In the end, only around 6,000 examples were made. Again, a super-fast estate car that, if the 6-speed manual transmission is properly shifted, flies to 100kmh in less than 5 seconds and just keeps going up to a tuned 250kmh. To bring the violence back to a halt, the car was fitted with extra-large calipers with discs measuring a whopping 360mm.
Fortunately, the RS4 we offered is among the last few RS4s that have not fallen victim to the tuning scene. Almost impossible to find, an untouched Audi RS4 Avant Quattro V6 Biturbo. The car has been nicely flavoured with a muffler from Miltek to give the V6 just a little more life. In addition, the car has a lowering kit (the original kit is included) and a brake upgrade has taken place (Audi B7). The car was originally delivered on 3 August 2001 in Germany (Audi Zentrum Göttingen), making it one of the last in the series. 3 years later, the car came to the Netherlands with around 60,000km and was immediately serviced and a new timing belt fitted. After that, the car was serviced continuously and nothing was spared. The current owner bought the car in 2015 and drove it relatively little. About 2,500km a year. He has since had several Audi RSs that were used more often, but he has always been extra economical on this RS4 Avant.
Our opinion
Don't be put off by the mileage. Around 9,000km a year is of course nothing at all. Certainly not when you see what kind of condition this car is in at this age and mileage. Audi has always had a high quality standard and you can see that here, partly thanks to the extensive service history. A lovely unfiltered driving experience with manual transmission. At the time, the RS4 Avant cost around 220,000, - Gulden, which was over 25,000, - euros more than for a luxury Audi A8! Fortunately, the RS4 is a lot more valuable....
About the seller
We are auctioning this RS4 on behalf of an enthusiast who owns several youngtimers. However, he has fallen for a special 911 and therefore thinks he won't get to drive the RS4 anymore. He has therefore decided to auction the RS4 through The Collectables.

Remarks
None, this is a very nice original RS4 with hardly any signs of use. There is an ABT badge on the engine cover, which was already there when the current owner bought the car. He is not sure if the stage 1 tuning was ever carried out or if it is just a ‘badgetuning’.
