About this Collectable
There was a time when the 928 - completely unjustified of course - was seriously undervalued. That has now changed. This Collectable is not just any 928: it is a rare 928 GT in the color Velvet Red Metallic that is in excellent condition. And then also manual, so that the V8 truly comes into its own. This Collectable was originally delivered in the Netherlands and was owned by the same owner from 1993 to 2016. He has treated the car with love, because both the exterior and the interior are in a very good condition. In 2016 the car was exported to Belgium, where this beautiful 928 is now on offer.
The Porsche 928 GT was introduced towards the end of the 928's life cycle. The evolution of the model was thus at an advanced stage. Since the 5.0 V8 produces 330 hp, this is, after the GTS, the most powerful and fastest version of the 928. Just like the S4, the 928 GT has a separate spoiler, where the earlier models have an integrated spoiler or completely had no spoiler. The sporty character of the 928 GT is evident from the fact that this version is only supplied with a manual gearbox. The limited slip differential (PSD) was also standard and Porsche had equipped the car with a sportier chassis.
The top speed of 275 km / h is at the same level as that of the later GTS. The 928 GT does 0-100 km / h in 5.8 seconds. You can still look good with that. The timeless design of the 928 comes into its own in this color. It is the color Samtrot Metallic (or Velvet Red Metallic), which Porsche only had in the color palette in the 1989 and 1990 years. This color is not only beautiful but also rare.
