Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe (997)

Originally, this 997 was delivered in Japan. At the end of October 2022, the Porsche was imported and registered in the Netherlands. Some may find it a bit exciting, a car from Japan, but fortunately we can be sure that this one will be fine. That's because another rigorous purchase inspection was performed by Porsche Eindhoven in July 2023. See also the photos for the report.
The report shows that the Porsche is still almost completely in its original paint. Only the front trunk lid and the right front screen have been repainted. The values here are around 160 micrometer paint thickness, so no thick layer of putty but purely cosmetic repair.
Both front shock absorbers were replaced by Essenz Porsche specialist after the purchase inspection. Also, the headlights have been properly adjusted again.
The 997 generation was delivered between 2004 and 2012. Porsche fanatics had been waiting anxiously. And fortunately: the classic round and distinctive 911 headlights are back. The new 997 was largely similar in shape to the 996. The detailing was only slightly more delicate and, in terms of finish, again of a better level. All versions also had more than 300 horsepower for the first time.
During these 8 years, no less than 15 different versions were released. So how do you choose the right one for you?
Do you want sportiness, but not too stiff and perfectly usable for daily driving?
Then the Carrera S version is for you. More power than the standard Carrera, red brake calipers and rear-wheel drive.
The coupe is of course the "drivers" version and has a more direct and sportier driving experience due to the greater rigidity of the body compared to the convertible.
Our opinion
Just a really neat 997. Black on black may be very obvious, but it always does the trick anyway and is the most sought after. A fresh purchase report from Porsche Eindhoven. And, of course, important for the business buyers among us: a VAT-er.
About the seller
Although Paul has not had the 911 very long, we are looking for a new enthusiast.
Paul has unfortunately developed back pain unfortunately anyway, and this low sports car is definitely not helping that.
Still, he took absolutely good care of it. He had a purchase inspection done right away, and had everything taken care of.
The 911 was also fully glass-coated by LXRY Carstore in early August.
