Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 Convertible

The F-Type convertible, Jaguar's first roadster in 40 years, was well worth the wait. This convertible is an exciting blend of style, performance and luxury, and whatever your priorities, you're sure to crave it.

Movie Remakes and covers are tricky, especially when the original is a legendary and beloved cultural icon that has stood the test of time. The all-new 2014 Jaguar F-Type faces just such a challenge: This convertible is the first all-new Jaguar sports car since the legendary E-Type, which debuted in 1961 and went out of production in 1974.

Forty years of progress and innovation make the E- and F-Types completely different in terms of performance and technology, but comparisons are inevitable. Jaguar refuses to call the F-Type a tribute, but there are subtle styling nods to the original, such as the rounded side panels and rounded taillight accents.

Sure, the Jaguar F-Type is faster and takes corners with an aggression its predecessor would not have thought possible, but like the E-Type, the F-Type is all about the emotional side of driving. The F-Type will be an absolute delight for drivers who crave performance, but the car is elegant and civilized when driven carefully. Step on the gas pedal deeper and the thrill of acceleration is accompanied by a glorious exhaust sound that can rival anything from Italy.

This 2014 Jaguar F-Type is powered by the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine that produces 340 hp and 332 Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends that power to the rear wheels and is standard throughout the F-Type lineup.

The F-Type delivers performance on a number of fronts, whether you're looking for breathtaking acceleration, the comfort of a luxury car or a high-end convertible that just looks good and makes you feel special. All models in the range perform at a very high level, although many say the V6 models are slightly more responsive in terms of handling compared to the heavier V8 model.

Our opinion

An F-Type is and always has been a stylish appearance. Surely many would always look when this roadster passes by, especially when the roof is open. The Jaguar appears to be age and mileage compliant. A few frequently used buttons in the interior are starting to weather slightly. The rims have some curb damage, and the paint has come off in places. So not very thrilling things it seems. And fortunately, this supercharged roadster drives no less because of it.

About the seller

The F-Type is being auctioned on behalf of Pelle through The Collectables.Pelle writes about the purchase of the car:

''I had saved enough money to buy a first spectacular car. Because this Jaguar is actually my very first car. After many test drives in all kinds of cars, this jaguar still emerged as the winner.
The magisterial sound of a howling v6 is something that is a dream for every car enthusiast. besides being very sporty to drive, the car is also very comfortable for long distance driving. that unique combination is what persuaded me to buy the f type.''

But due to future plans the F-Type unfortunately cannot stay, and we are looking for a new enthusiast.
