About this Collectable

An atmospheric, high-revving, roaring V8 sending 420 hp to the rear wheels—where do you find that anymore? A car that is practical for daily use, but can also effortlessly take to the track. The early history of the M3 consists mainly of upsizing: from a four-cylinder, to a six-cylinder, to ultimately an eight-cylinder. However, BMW subsequently introduced downsizing, giving the M3 of the E9x generation a unique position in the history of this iconic model, featuring both the first and the last eight-cylinder under the hood. All the more so because it is the last M3 with an atmospheric engine. Which also benefits the weight (and the center of gravity): the M3 Coupé comes standard with a carbon fiber roof. The fact that this looks cool is, of course, a nice bonus. In terms of appearance, you have nothing to complain about anyway: the M3 Coupé looks exactly how you want an M model with a V8 to look. Beautiful 19-inch rims, plenty of carbon fiber, and some subtle details that immediately reveal you are dealing with a potent version.

The example in our auction is perfectly maintained and, with only 27,000 km and a complete history, can truly be called unique. Only a few minimal signs of wear reveal that the owners did indeed use the M3. Not an example that fell apart from sitting idle, but certainly one of the lowest mileage cars. The full maintenance history is included, and it is fitted with brand-new Michelin tires. Delivered new in Austria and has been in the Netherlands for some time with a collector who registered the car in the Netherlands but has driven it little to none. Naturally, the car is still in the original Jerez Black metallic paint and is full options, including Double-spoke 220M rims, a carbon fiber roof, Navi Professional, Novillo Pallidium Silver leather, and the DKG gearbox. The latter is a perfect complement to the high-revving V8 on a V8 M3. Thanks to the DKG's 7 gears, the engine stays in the optimal rev range much better compared to the 6-speed manual. Moreover, the DKG shifts seamlessly thanks to the dual clutch!

A unique opportunity for collectors or for those who want to enjoy a nearly new M3 with a V8. We have never seen such a fine example with such low mileage and such a clean history.
