Audi RS4 Avant Quattro 2020
A factory manager at Audi ordered the RS4, developed by Quattro GmbH, in a great colour.
The first generation Audi RS 4 entered the market in 1999 based on the Audi A4 (B5) as an Avant and remained in production until 2001. It was the successor to the co-developed Audi RS2 with Porsche. The RS4 had a 2.7 BiTurbo engine with 380hp and, of course, 4-wheel drive. At the time, the engine was modified by the Cosworth company (known for building many generations of Formula 1 engines, among others) to achieve this high yet reliable power output. In 2006, the BiTurbo V6 was replaced by a high-revving 4.2-litre V8. This B7 generation was later succeeded in 2012 by (you won't guess...) the B8, also equipped with a non-turbocharged V8.
Based on the B9 generation, which was presented at IAA Frankfurt in 2017, came the, only available as an Avant, 4th-generation RS4. Now back to its roots and powered by a 2.9-litre BiTurbo V6. For the RS4, this produces a whopping 450 hp and 600 Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The RS4 we offered was delivered to the first owner (a factory manager of Audi) and immaculately maintained. He ordered the car in Turbo Blue. A colour that looks great on the car and something different from the boring grey or black. The car has been perfectly maintained, and is 90% in its first paint. Only the bonnet has been repainted once due to stone chips. The RS4 comes with just about all options, including the 20-inch rims 5-segment-spoke-evo-design rims.
Our opinion
An Audi RS4 really needs no explanation. Fast, comfortable and safe. The RS2 was ‘the daddy’ of all fast estate cars and the RS4 line has continued the tradition. Again completely in style with a very powerful V6 BiTurbo coupled to a lightning-fast automatic gearbox. A true ‘Autobahnbrenner’ in a beautiful and distinct colour. A bright and neat car, ordered new by an enthusiast and now for sale from the 2nd owner.
About the seller
The seller owns several enthusiast cars, mainly of the Porsche brand. He bought the car from the German Audi dealer because of its special composition and especially his girlfriend drove it. Meanwhile, another new special car has arrived and this RS4 may go to a new enthusiast.
