The Porsche Boxster was already a very well-balanced sports car, and with the 981, Porsche improved this recipe once again. And—unlike its successor—it still features the magnificent six-cylinder Boxer engine. You could therefore view the 981 as the pinnacle of the Boxster series. The 981 arrived in 2012 as the third-generation Boxster, taking another step closer to the ultimate sports car. The chassis, for example, is stiffer once again, and despite the fact that the new 981 has grown in length, the car is still slightly lighter. The 987 was already praised for its handling, and with the 981, Porsche managed to take the Boxster to an even higher level. Apart from the spartan Spyder, the GTS is the ultimate version. This variant was added to the range in 2014 and stands for fast, sporty, and very richly equipped. More practical than a GT4 and hardly slower. With the rare manual gearbox, it is THE version you want to have, especially in this condition.
