About this Collectable

The V8 Vantage was the base model in the Vantage range, unveiled in 2005. All Vantage models were based on the in-house VH platform, which was used for everything from the V12 Vanquish to the DB10. The 4.3-liter V8 was based on Jaguar's AJ V8 engine, which was fully modified by Aston Martin and produced 385 hp. A more powerful version of the V8 Vantage was introduced in 2011. Externally, the V8 Vantage S is recognizable by revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a higher tailgate. The interior was modernized, and the power of the (now) 4.7-liter V8 was increased to 436 hp, allowing the Vantage to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds and reach 305 km/h (190 mph). The low weight and the engine's rearward positioning ensure perfect handling, and you could almost call it a mid-engined car.

The Vantage we're offering is from 2012 and, with just 100km on the odometer, is still brand new. The car began its life with a collector in Kuwait. While many cars from the Middle East have a reputation for being from a sandbox, cars from Kuwait are almost always bought for "having." So, they're bought and added to a collection of often dozens, or sometimes hundreds, of cars. This V8 Vantage, with its almost pristine mileage, is no exception. It now has a Dutch license plate. The car is in mint condition, and only the tires, with a 2012 DOT code, reveal that this is a car almost 14 years old. Naturally, everything that came with the Vantage is included. A unique opportunity to purchase one of the finest modern Astons with pristine mileage!

Our Opinion

One of the last analog Aston Martins with a naturally aspirated V8 (genuinely built by Aston Martin) under the hood, providing an unfiltered and engaging driving experience. We previously auctioned its predecessor, still with the 4.3-liter engine. This one is a step up in the ladder and has a neat and, above all, more modern finish. We also recently sold an N430, but we've never seen an Aston Martin with such low mileage as this one.

About the Seller

The current owner has a fine collection of classic and modern cars. Low mileage and originality are important to him. He hasn't actually driven it at all, but he did have it registered in the Netherlands. Because there will be some rotation in the collection, this Vantage is being sold through The Collectables.
